Step 1: Gather your Materials
- A sturdy toy crossbow
- A Nerf ammo clip (if you have any old Nerf guns, you can harvest this from one of them)
- Packing tape
- 2 rubber bands
- Nerf darts
- A Nerf gun sight – this is optional but again, if you’ve got old Nerf guns you can use the sight off of one of them.
Step 2: Tape your Crossbow
There is a plastic piece in the middle of the crossbow at the back of the shooting chamber. Just below that is a latch to catch the string, so it won’t shoot off. Tape loosely right above this latch to form a snug platform for your Nerf darts between the plastic piece and the tape.
Step 3: Taping, Continued…
Now tape the string in the chamber of the crossbow to control the accuracy of the Nerf darts.
Step 4: Attach your Ammo Clip
Fill the clip with Nerf darts. Then double loop each rubber band to make them tighter. Attach the ammo clip to the butt of the crossbow, positioning it on the opposite side of your dominant hand.
